The New New Kitchen

Nope, it isn’t a typo! Out of all the work we have done on this lovely house, the kitchen has gone through the most transformations. When we first redid the kitchen we replaced the Jennair cooktop with a new Jennair, the oven with 2 Kitchen Aid ovens and a Kitchen Aid fridge. At the time we had to spend a shitload of money on more important things – like rewiring and plumbing haha.
But we knew if we ever choose to sell this place down the road, we needed to up our game to top of the lineĀ appliances. Five years later, we decided to bite the bullet.

Well, hello there Wolf!

Here is the original kitchen, complete with sherbet green paint.

And here was the ‘new’ kitchen we’ve had for 5 years:

Then we decided we hated the dark cabinets and had them refaced a year ago.

This final redo was started last summer. First we had to remove the old appliances. Some cabinets had to be redone.

And the final reveal:

We opted to install a double oven with the microwave on the counter. A triple stack of ovens and microwave – without the bottom drawer – would have placed the microwave too high.

The new new gas cooktop has a popup downdraft behind it.

More storage space below the cooktop instead of the oven.

And a built in SubZero fridge:

Cooking with these Wolf appliances has been an absolute dream! In fact, I have been using them so often, I need to clean the ovens badly! Enjoy!
