Are we moved yet?

The answer would be – not yet – but getting close! Spring is starting to rear it’s beautiful head in our little spot of heaven called Napa. The past week saw temperatures in the upper 70’s.
I saw this tulip peeking out in the front of the house. It was so worth it to plant daffodil and tulip bulbs at the last minute because now we have little splashes of color amongst the construction.

This camelia bush is in the front.

It has been a flurry of activity in the last week, with painters, roofers, landscapers, floor guy, not to mention our regular contractor crew. Lots of progress to show:
Kitchen
Cabinets are all in. The countertop has been measured for and silestone will be arriving in a couple of weeks.
The kitchen and rest of the house has been given a fresh coat of paint which gives a nice bright glow to the entire house.
Shed
This was going to be demolished for a larger unit, but we decided to just fix up the shed that was already there. The original shed was moldy, musty and filled with cobwebs and spiders. Yuck.
This is actually an improvement from how it originally looked. This was after the cobwebs had been cleared out. Trust me, it was gross!
And here is how it looks now. Fresh coat of paint, windows replaced, floor cemented and wood flooring installed. Also the roof was redone and eaves replaced.
This is going to be Shawn’s office. Damn, it looks nice! I’m a little <cough> jealous. It would make such a nice workout room….
Deck
The atrium off of the bedroom is gone and the deck was completely dismantled. The deck should be finished this week.
Roof
The roof was completely repaired this week and all leaks were fixed.
